Black Friday rant
COME ON PEOPLE!! Are you seriously making Black Friday such a big deal that it's now also Black Thursday?!? Just because people will come out at 10 o'clock on Thanksgiving night to get a sale at 7 the next morning doesn't mean they should. We should NOT be encouraging people to push and shove and quite possibly harm other people just to save money. Sure, you might save a lot of money, but is it worth it? Some people say definitely. Do you really not think about the consequences of your actions? If you are stampeding through the doors of a store, did it ever occur to you that you might run into someone, or knock them over and then trample on them? THINK! Being the person who camped out in front of Best Buy the longest is not something to be proud of. You're just the person whose whole life in November revolved around being the first one to get a deal. I don't know, maybe I'm just crazy. We all know that the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven is the one who camped out the longest and got the best deal on Black Friday. Not that there's anything wrong with Black Friday shopping itself. Just use your common sense and don't let your manners go to the dogs just because you're going to save so much money.

ReplyDeleteSame here! There actually was someone that got killed in a stampede not far from here and to think it was only because people wanted to hurry and get the best deals!? I don't know how something like black Friday (or Thursday) can be so important to some that they would kill a fellow human being. I admit, sales are nice when you get them, but is this sort of stuff really necessary? Anyway, there's my rant for the day. ;) Nice post. :D
